January 21, 2010 Organ recital: J.S. Bach at Weimar – early virtuosic masterpieces – David Shuler , organist

 

March 11, 2010 – “In the Shadow of the Cross” – Holy Week music by Renaissance master Orlande de Lassus – Choir of St. Luke in the Fields

 

April 29, 2010 Monteverdi: 1610 Vespers – in honor of the 400th anniversary of this monumental masterpiece – Choir of St. Luke in the Fields with ensemble of period instruments

Masterpieces of choral, vocal and instrumental music of the Renaissance and Baroque performed by the Choir of St. Luke in the Fields, one of New York's finest professional vocal ensembles, under the direction of David Shuler.

The Choir, known for its interpretation and performance of early music, performs in the resonant and historic sanctuary of The Church of St. Luke in the Fields.

Each concert is preceded by an informative lecture given by an authority on the music of the evening.
