Good Friday Reflections

Stations of the Cross Video

This self-guided meditative video provides the St. Luke stations with accompanying prayers taken from the Stations of the Cross liturgy.

The following artists created the Stations as part of our weekly liturgical service during Lent: Doug Blanchard, Caroline Borderies, Madeleine Borderies, Cindy Brome, Simon Carr, Sylvia Duff, Amanda Durant, Joan Goodman, The Rev. Posey Krakowsky, Linda Mason, James Middleton, Gus Moody, Jacqui Taylor Basker, Ihsan Albandak & Tom Wharton.

Music selections from Refuge and Strength: Selections from the Psalter of the Book of Common Prayer by the Choir of St. Luke in the Fields.

The Chanted Passion According to John

Usually a part of our Good Friday Service, the Passion reading is chanted by three female members of our choir. Listen to it here.

Veneration of the Cross Video

Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

A part of our Good Friday service, the Veneration of the Cross provides an opportunity to offer your prayers to Jesus, to "cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7).

The Reproaches composed by Tomás Luis de Victoria are performed by the Choir of St. Luke in the Fields. The recording is taken from our 2014 Good Friday Service.
