Our Annual GO Backpack Drive Is Live!

Posted by Simone Richmond on September 16, 2019

Every October, GO Project brings to St. Luke’s School some of the youngest, most vulnerable learners from the city’s most under-resourced schools, who are already falling behind. The high-quality academic, social and emotional enrichment and family support program we provide on Saturday mornings equips them with the skills they need for success. We are incredibly grateful to the parish community, who recently came forward to fund breakfast for the GO students every Saturday that they are here in 2019-2020 school year. This is especially important, given that 91% of the students at GO-SLS qualify for the free breakfast program at their public schools.

Now, our goal is to help each of the 120 GO-St. Luke’s students make a good start this Fall, with all the school supplies they need: pens, pencils, crayons, notebooks, and more.   Our goal is to raise funds by October 1. Give today, and the funds raised will go directly into school supplies for these young learners. Help us to help them start their young lives off right - onto a new path, toward the City’s best high schools, college, and beyond. We deeply appreciate your support. Give at https://bit.ly/2lK7Q5C today.
